Olympics LIVE: Katarina Johnson-Thompson eyes heptathlon gold, makes breakdancing debut at Paris 2024

The Olympic Games programme looks set to be busy on day 14 of the Paris 2024 Games, with Team GB looking to add to their medal haul.

Katarina Johnson-Thompson moved into pole position after yesterday’s heptathlon final, but she will still have to contend with Belgian double Olympic champion Nafi Thiam. The two athletes are tied in the fifth event, the long jump, but Thiam has the longer javelin arm and Johnson-Thompson will have to limit the damage before battling for gold in the 800m (19:15).

Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita will be back on the track in search of a medal in the women’s 4x100m final, while Zharnel Hughes and Louie Hinchliffe lead the men’s race (finals from 6.30pm), while Noah Lyles will be hoping to perform despite Covid.

At the velodrome, Jack Carlin will look to improve on his Tokyo bronze medal in the men’s sprint (13:41) before Neah Evans and Elinor Barker take on the women’s madison (final at 17:09).

Grace Reid and Yasmin Harper will contest the women’s 3m springboard final (2pm), and medals will be awarded in climbing, hockey, boxing, canoe sprint, taekwondo and football, where Spain will face hosts France in the men’s final (5pm).
