🎥 Four goals and a red card! Chaos descends on Miami’s Leagues Cup match

Chaos reigned supreme in Fort Lauderdale tonight as a non-stop first half of Inter Miami’s round of 32 clash with Toronto saw four goals and a red card.

The home side found themselves in front in a flash thanks to Matías Rojas, who has impressed throughout the tournament, and got his name on the scoresheet inside the opening three minutes.

Minutes later, Diego Gómez, who had just returned from the Olympics with Paraguay, found the bottom corner from the edge of the box to show why he is likely to travel to Brighton in the Premier League and extend Miami’s lead.

But the action didn’t stop there and Toronto showed they weren’t going to go down without a fight. After a stupid defensive error in the Miami penalty area, Lorenzo Insigne halved the deficit from the penalty spot.

But Miami regained the lead minutes later thanks to a daring pass from Luis Suarez over Sean Johnson in the Toronto goal, and Messi loved it from the touchline.

But just as Toronto looked set to lose their game, they were handed another gift in the form of a defensive error when new signing David Martínez brought down a Toronto forward from behind, before being promptly sent off after a VAR review.

Four goals and a red card in just 25 minutes. What more could you ask for, and what’s next? A Leagues Cup classic.
